Position DetailsAs an Acute Paediatric Registrar, you will:
Provide high-quality care to inpatients on general paediatric wards and in the neonatal intensive care unit. Deliver routine and emergency care as part of a rotating after-hours roster. Conduct outpatient clinics at the primary hospital and specialist outreach services to regional hospitals and remote communities. Supervise, support, and evaluate junior medical staff. Engage in continuous education, research, teaching, quality improvement activities, and clinical audits. Collaborate with medical, allied health, nursing staff, and external agencies to contribute to policy and guideline development in line with best practices. Participate in quality control and assurance activities to advance paediatric services in the Northern Territory. BenefitsCompetitive Salary Package: Indicative remuneration ranging from $161,764 to $176,838 per annum (SREG1–SREG2, based on experience).

MBBS or equivalent, with registration or eligibility for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). At least 3 years of paediatric experience, including inpatient and outpatient care. A minimum of 6 months’ experience in a neonatal intensive care unit. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-cultural and multidisciplinary environment. Commitment to improving Indigenous child health.
