Pre-school apprentice
Duties will include;
Planing and supervising child initiated and adult led activities which are based around the needs and interests of each individual child Supporting children to develop numeracy and language skills through games and play Meet the care needs of the individual child such as feeding, changing nappies and administration of medicine Work in partnership with other colleagues, parents and/or carers or other professionals to meet the individual needs of each childOur core fundementals:

Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship Standard:
Apprentices must successfully complete a Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification.

Apprentices without Level 2 English and maths will need to achieve this level prior to taking their end point assessment. For those with an education, health and care plan or a legacy statement, the apprenticeships English and maths minimum requirements are Entry Level 3, and the British Sign Language qualification is an alternative to English qualifications for apprentices for whom this is their primary language. Apprentices must successfully complete a paediatric first aid qualification in line with the requirements of the EYFS Framework (Annex A): Early years foundation stage (EYFS) statutory framework - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk) You will be required to complete Functional Skills mathematics and English (where applicable), Employment Rights and Responsibilities and British Values Location: South Gloucestershire and Stroud College - Filton CampusTraining Outcome:
Successful completion of apprenticeship - full time permanant position will be discussed

Olveston Pre-School CIC is a company based in a purpose built Pre-School in the rolling countryside of South Gloucestershire. We employ 12 staff and are open term time only, providing early years education to 2 – 5 year olds. We have strong links with local schools and support children as they make the transition to school.
Working Hours :
Monday - Friday, 08:30 - 15:30 Term Time only 39 weeks per year (with one day at college, as necessary).
