Equine Groom Apprenticeship
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Providing essential day-to-day care Feeding Grooming Cleaning equipment Handling, preparing, exercising the horses Carrying out routine yard dutiesTraining:
The successful candidate will undertake 18 months training to complete a Level 3 Senior Equine Groom Apprenticeship.
All training will be carried out at the employer's premises, with the support of the employer, and will be delivered by Sheldrake Training.
Functional Skills maths and English will form part of the apprenticeship if the successful candidate doesn't already hold a level 4 or above for each subject.
Training Outcome:
The opportunity to specialise in areas such as farrier, physiotherapy or equine dentistry are all possible career progressions as is becoming a coach through the BHS scheme.

Hyperion Equestrian is a livery, training and competition yard situated in the Devon countryside, just east of Haldon Hills, Exeter. They offer a full selection of livery services alongside a comprehensive breaking and schooling service for horses and ponies. Hyperion combines first class professional facilities with a caring and relaxed atmosphere.
Working Hours :
The successful candidate can expect that to be working 40 hours per week, spread over 5 days. There is a possibility of reducing this to 30 hours per week, but this will be discussed with the employer. Days and shifts TBA.
