Operations Administration Apprentice

Working with the Archivist to assist with maintaining client records and documentation, particularly focusing on their ongoing storage reduction project.

Assisting some of their practice departments to close files and reduce on-site storage Helping with archiving projects Providing cover for the archiving email inbox
 

Working with the Reception Team to provide client care and support within the meeting rooms including:

Maintaining the reception area. Greeting visitors and servicing meetings. Handling telephone calls Booking couriers.
 

Working as part of the Facilities Team to handle day-to-day administration and associated duties to run the office. Duties vary and include:

Reprographics – printing, scanning and finishing documents. Handling incoming/outgoing mail and deliveries. Meeting room set up and configuration. Stationery, catering and office supplies – maintaining stock levels. Maintenance – health & safety checks.
 

There will also be the opportunity to assist the Operations Director and Senior Operations Manager with projects, including some relating to B Corp certification and Climate Programme initiatives.

Social and environmental impact is important to Bates Wells and the Operations team play a key role in helping the firm to minimise its carbon footprint and have a positive impact on the planet and society.

Specific tasks may change over time, so we will need you to be adaptable as we continue to meet their clients’ needs.



Training:

To meet the requirements of the Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship programme you will need to spend 6 hours a week of your time undertaking off-the-job learning, which will include:

Formal training, including online learning and internal learning events 1-2-1s with your coach and line manager Observing and shadowing colleagues Writing up learning reflections for your portfolio

Training Outcome:

Full-time employment.
