Equine Groom Apprentice (Oak Farm Livery)

At Oak Farm we provide individually tailored care for up to 19 horses. From yearlings, to ex-racehorses, child ponies to competition horses. You will be calm and hard working and ready to learn about all aspects of running a successful yard.

Duties will include, but not limited to;

Turning out and bringing in Mucking out Feeding, watering and haying Grooming Clipping and trimming Maintaining the cleanliness of the yard at all times Bandaging Tacking up Lunging/long reining Opportunity to ride for the right candidate and to groom at shows

Training:
Full training to be provided by the employer and KEITS at the place of employment. The applicant will be working towards a Level 2 or 3 Equine Groom apprenticeship. The learner will be allocated an industry specific training consultant who will provide both remote and on site visits throughout the apprenticeship. The apprentice will work towards an End Point Assessment (EPA) at the end of their apprenticeship.

Training Outcome:

Employment within the organisation if a position is available.

Employer Description:
Oak Farm Livery is a small friendly livery yard with 19 horses ranging from children's ponies to young stock. The owner, Anna competes in affiliated dressage and there is the opportunity for the apprentice to attend these competitions too.
