DE&S Engineering Degree Apprenticeship Scheme

You'll work in a hugely collaborative environment alongside engineers, project managers, customers, and suppliers to ensure that DE&S continues to deliver the very best equipment to the front line.  
  
Year 1 - Full-time attendance at the training provider to learn core engineering skills and start your BEng Degree in Electromechanical Engineering. This degree is a blend of mechanical and electrical/electronics engineering. While you’ll still complete some pure mechanical modules, our 2025 intake will have a bias towards electronics Years 2 & 3 - Practical and vocational training, continuation of the BEng Years 4 & 5 - For your final two years, whilst working towards the completion of your BEng, you can expect to focus more closely on a particular area of the business e.g., land equipment, aerospace, maritime, weapons, communication systems etc.

Training:

10 months based at college practical learning, then on-the-job and day release from then onwards at Abbey Wood.

Training Outcome:

Successful completion of the scheme can lead to a position within DE&S.
