Early Years Level 2 Apprentice

- Learn about safeguarding

- Learn from senior nursery nurses how to implement our planning and put it into practice

- Learning about child development and put your knowledge into practice

- Learn from our current staff our ethos and how to look after the children (feeding, changing, playing, Makaton sign language, teaching skills... this will also involve some cleaning duties)

Training:

30h/ week minimum, to be set out weekly.

Training Outcome:

Apprentices may be offered a Level 3 apprenticeship after they complete their Level 2, but this will be discussed with the trianing provider and the nursery manager and owner beforehand.

Level 2 nursery nurses can be offered either a lunch cover or a full time job upon completion of their Level 2, but this has to be agreed with the manager and owner beforehand and will depend on the nursery's needs.

Employer Description:
We are a medium-sized family run nursery in Plympton. We are an inclusive nursery and pride ourselves in being open and friendly. We have trained many apprentices over the last 10 years and have a very high staff retention rate.

Working Hours :
Monday to Friday, various shift patterns TBC.
