Apprentice Manufacturing Operative
Learning all the manufacturing processes within our business
Assembly - learning all the different types of panels and how they go together
Punching - How the parts are punched on CNC machines, including setting up and loading of programmes and materials
Folding - After the parts are punched they then go on a CNC brake press to be formed , so will set and operate the machine
Welding - Welding different parts for example, budget locks to doors and creating a fully welded frame from four individual parts
Preparation - After the welding of the panels they will be cleaned off using air tools and prepared for painting
Painting - Panels then go to be painted
Training:
The successful candidate will follow the Lean Manufacturing level 2 standard - training will be delivered by NWSLC on a one week block release every 6 weeks at our Nuneaton campus
Training Outcome:
Further learning in year 2 and 3 if warranted and the chance of full time employment
Employer Description:
Formed in 2011, we design and manufacture bespoke, certified and performance driven metal access panels and riser doors for the construction industry.
Designed using solidworks, programmed using radan, punched on cnc punch press machines, folded using cnc pressbrake machines, welded, painted and assembled all in house.
Working Hours :
Monday - Thursday, 7.55am - 4.15pm and Friday, 7.55am - 4.00pm.
