Apprentice Early Years Practitioner
Duties will include, but will not be limited to:
Care for children’s basic needs Follow policies and procedures Support with learning and development To assist in organising and supervising the children and activities during day care/out of school sessions in line with the current legislative requirements. To encourage and support the users of the day care. Ensure staff training needs are identified and then met. To work within a key person system to provide education and care in partnership with parents/carers. To assist in the collection and maintenance of records, monitoring evaluation, and legislative requirements for day care and out of school care. To ensure the settings policies are implemented. To ensure that the rooms/toilets used by the children are left clean and in a tidy condition after each session. To work with the staff team to ensure high standards of quality practice in line with relevant Government Policy. To assist in developing the curriculum and pre-planned timetable for day care sessions To ensure children with special/additional needs receive equality of access and that the needs of the children with special/additional needs are identified and met. To continue to market and encourage maximum use of day care by helping to organise open days and evenings; in partnership with Magical Moments Day Care Management Committee. To ensure that the day care meets OFSTED registration requirements. Be prepared to undertake any training to keep skills and knowledge up to date; within the context of the post To comply with all the relevant policies of the day care and relevant Government legislation.Training:
The successful candidate will work towards achieving their Apprenticeship Standard in Early Years Practitioner Level 2. A dedicated work-based trainer will be assigned to the candidate to provide them with support and guidance throughout the course. This is a predominently work-based programme with College attendance one day per month.
Training Outcome:
Permanent position on successful completion of this Apprenticeship with progression to Early Years Educator Standard Level 3

The original pre-school was set up by parents with pre-school children. The manager of the nursery has been with us ever since. Working Hours :
Monday to Friday - 9 am to 3:30 pm.
