Warehouse Operative Apprentice (Yolo Inc. Ltd.)

Throughout the apprenticeship you will be developing skills in these key areas for the business and learning about the industry as a whole. As you gain more experience your responsibilities will increase. 

On a day-to-day basis as an apprentice your duties include, but are not restricted to:

Supporting the Warehouse Supervisor in ensuring that all products are scanned in and out of the Warehouse Moving all products into the dispatch area and prepare and cut plastic as per surveyors cutting sheet, heat shrink, tape up and place ready for collection Taking deliveries Checking for damaged/missed items Organise products into the applicable storing area Moving stock by various methods Loading goods for dispatch Manually unloading lorries Making sure all plastic is checked and is stored away in the plastic cupboard upon delivery Ensuring the warehouse, loading, unloading and skip areas are kept clean and tidy on a daily basis Ensuring efficient running of the Warehouse in the absence of the Warehouse Supervisor Other general duties i.e. Cleaning Safe use a range of equipment, machinery & vehicles relevant to your role

Training:

Training will be provided to achieve the following qualifications:

Level 2 Supply Chain Warehouse Operative Apprenticeship Standard Functional Skills Level 2 in maths and English (if required)

Training would be primarily conducted in the workplace with frequent visits from your tutor, but some training may take place periodically at our training centre (DL1 4QZ). 

Here you will learn the theory and practical elements of the course, gaining the knowledge and developing skills to exceed the minimum apprenticeship standards.



Training Outcome:
Full time employment upon completion of apprenticeship
