Equine Groom Apprenticeship

Duties will include:

Grooming Mucking out Trimming Plaiting Lunging Health care Travelling Feeding Assisting professionals with Equine Assisted Therapy

Training:

Equine Groom Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard:

At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying You will attend Houghall Campus of East Durham College DH1 3SG one time per month and have regular visits from your tutor at your workplace

Training Outcome:
The possibility of progressing to the next level of qualification and full time employment for the right candidate

Employer Description:
This business runs a dual enterprise, one is Livery and the other side of the business is Equine Assisted Therapy (EAT). EAT is a professional, innovative and experiential approach to counselling, psychotherapy and mental health that supports clients of all ages in addressing therapeutic goals (emotional, cognitive, behavioural, relationship and mental health conditions), with horses as assistants, support and co-facilitators in this process.

Working Hours :
Days and working times to agreed at interview, some weekend work will be required.
