Business Support Apprentice
The postholder will need to develop a sound knowledge of administration duties in order to fulfil the responsibilities of the post. The post will be based in the Learning Support department and will involve a range of day-to-day administrative challenges in a fast-paced environment.
Key Tasks/Responsibilities:
Deal with enquiries by telephone, email and in person in a professional and helpful manner at all times Process a range of administrative tasks arising within the team and from departmental responsibilities in an accurate and timely fashion Carry out follow up administrative tasks such as correspondence; phone calls; record-keeping; tracking and spreadsheet maintenance, as directed by the manager Assist the manager and team in project work and wider responsibilities as required Undertake tasks such as word processing; photocopying; filing, scanning etc., ensuring confidentiality of all personal data at all times Keep abreast of developments within the department including a good working knowledge of all office procedures in order to provide cover in the absence of others Liaise with staff in other departments in a professional and helpful manner as required Attend and participate in regular team meetings, updates and training as required Manage diaries and arrange meetings as required; take accurate notes of meetings when requested Other duties commensurate with the grade of post as requiredCollege Responsibilities:
