Health Physics Monitor Apprenticeship 2025

Use specialist equipment to carry out radiological protection monitoring; taking measurements of radiation dose rates and contamination levels Interpret these measurements in order to provide protection advice to facility operators Work with numbers to complete mental calculations This role is critical to ensuring safe operations in nuclear facilities and requires a high level of attention to detail, quality and accuracy in recording and interpreting measurements You will need to have the right attitude to health and safety, quality and following instructions

Training:

Training will be delivered between our off-site training facility, Sellafield Skills Centre and the Sellafield site.

You will obtain the following qualifications:

Level 2 ST0290 Nuclear Health Physics Monitor Apprenticeship Level 2 Certificate in Health Physics Monitoring in the Nuclear Industry (Theory) Award in Nuclear Industry Awareness ISOH Working Safely

Training Outcome:
Following successful completion of your apprenticeship, we will look to retain you in a professional full-time position at Sellafield Ltd.

Working Hours :
You will generally work normal office hours between 07:30-15:40, however at times may be required to work different shift patterns including 12 hours working (day and night shifts) as well as weekend working.
