Apprentice Early Years Educator

Plans and supervises child initiated and adult led activities which are based around the needs and interests of each individual child. Supports children to develop numeracy and language skills through play based learning. Has key person responsibility to help ensure each child feels safe and secure. Observes each child and shapes their learning experience to reflect their observations. Meets the care needs of the individual child such as feeding, changing nappies and underwear. Works in partnership with other colleagues, parents and/or carers or other professionals to meet the individual needs of each child.

Training:

All training will be delivered in the workplace. 



Training Outcome:

Our pre-school is newly established for 2024 and is growing in numbers. There is potential for the successful applicant to obtain a permanent position at the school if they fulfil the requirements of the role and are successful in completing their apprenticeship.



Employer Description:
Shotley Bridge Primary School is a successful village school situated close to the Durham and Northumberland border. We have Pre-School children up to Year 6 split over two sites.

Working Hours :
8.00am – 4.00pm Monday to Thursday, 8.00am – 3.30pm Friday (Including 30-minute lunch each day)
