GP Surgery Dispenser Apprenticeship

The main responsibilities of the role include:

Ensuring that all medicines and appliances dispensed are checked against the prescription Maintaining full and accurate records of all dispensing transactions Operating efficient stock control, appropriate to the needs of the practice with the objective of ensuring continuity of supply for patients and minimising wastage through out-of-date stock Dealing with patient queries, online and in person and maintaining good customer care

Training:
The learner will be studying the Pharmacy Services Assistant Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard qualification Day release to West Suffolk College Functional skills will be studied if equivalent qualifications are not held

Training Outcome:

Potential for development for the right person in future i.e. Pharmacy Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship.



Employer Description:
GP Surgery - we are a small rural GP Surgery in West Norfolk. We have approximately 5500 patients registered with us and are a fully dispensing Practice.

Working Hours :
Monday to Friday, flexible but within the hours of 08.00 - 18.30
