Here’s what you can look forward to:
Working on a range of manufacturing, assembly, and testing activities with specialist mechanical equipment unique to the nuclear industry. Building confidence and skill with both hand and machine tools through practical training. Completing tasks at our Whetstone facility, with occasional placements at customer sites to broaden your industry experience.
From mastering precision tools to fitting and testing components, each day will offer new learning experiences. By the end of your apprenticeship, you’ll have developed a diverse skill set and established a strong foundation for a successful career in mechanical manufacturing.
Training:
Throughout your apprenticeship, you’ll engage in a balanced mix of practical and theoretical training.
This combination of hands-on experience and foundational engineering knowledge will support your progress toward achieving the Level 3 Engineering Fitter Apprenticeship standard, which includes an NVQ Level 3 certification through Loughborough College.
Training Outcome:
Upon completion of the apprenticeship, you will move into a substantive position within the business.
