Apprentice Metal Fabricator
Main Duties:
Interpret technical drawings, plans, and blueprints to execute precise metalwork installations. Fabricate, assemble, and install a wide range of architectural metalwork, including handrails, balustrades, canopies, and custom structural steel projects. Collaborate with the project team to ensure seamless coordination of installation schedules and timelines. Conduct on-site measurements, assessments, and adjustments to ensure accurate fitting and alignment of metalwork elements. Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards throughout all installation processes. Troubleshoot and resolve any technical challenges that arise during installation. Maintain a clean and organised work environment on site.Other requirements include:
Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural drawings, plans, and specifications. In-depth knowledge of various metalwork materials, fabrication techniques, and installation methods. Strong understanding of safety regulations and the ability to work in compliance with established guidelines. Skilled in using a variety of hand and power tools relevant to metalwork installation.Training:
This programme is delivered via a day release delivery model, which means that one day per week, your attendance is required at our engineering innovation centre in NG17. This attendance is required during term time only.
Training Outcome:
Potential full-time employment, upon successful completion of apprenticeship alongside regular sector based training to ensure your skills remain relevant to the industry.

M-Tech are precision staircase engineers, specialising in producing staircases for both residential and commercial customers. The company transform architectural designs into stunning metalwork installations.
Working Hours :
Monday -Thursday 7.30am-4.30pm & Fridays 7.30am-12.30pm. Breaks are 10am-10.15am, lunch 1pm-1.30pm and another break 3pm-3.15pm.
