In-house Construction
Sacco Mann is once again working with an international plc with roots firmly set in Yorkshire, which has a sizable and highly regarded In-house legal team. There now exists a varied and challenging position for a construction solicitor to take a leading role on a pioneering project connected with the green energy space. The position is offered on a hybrid basis with some weekly office presence required in North Yorkshire.
Reporting into the Deputy General Counsel this is likely to suit a lawyer with at least 5 years experience in non-contentious construction, ideally with exposure to working on large scale projects. Day to day you’ll work alongside the Capital Projects and M&A teams, assisting in the negotiation and drafting of complex, high-value commercial and contractual matters, mainly construction contracts (primarily based on FIDIC but also internal templates) and the suite of legal documents associated with the sale or acquisition of a business/company.
This is a key, pioneering project and this role offers the successful candidate a position of notable responsibility, with exposure to a range of significant commercial, internal and external stakeholders. You’ll need to be a consummate professional, with demonstrable acumen and excellent technical, analytical, drafting and negotiating skills.
This is a fantastic opportunity and likely to suit someone hoping to move into a more accountable position where you’ll be given responsibility to take a lead in a huge, high profile and cutting edge project.
