Apprentice Mechanic - Agricultural/Golf Course Technician
Reporting to the Head of Plant & Machinery Maintenance, the Apprentice Mechanic - Agricultural/Golf Course Technician will:
Undertake preventative maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a wide range of golf course equipment. Support the delivery of safe, reliable, and efficient machinery operations both on and off site. Work as part of a professional and supportive team committed to service excellence.Key Responsibilities will include:
Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical issues on equipment (diesel, petrol, and electric). Maintain and service mowers, tractors, rollers, utility vehicles, and other machinery. Complete regular servicing and mower blade sharpening. Keep accurate maintenance records, including parts and inventory. Train and guide team members in preventive maintenance and equipment use. Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations, including the Safety, Health & Welfare at Work Act 2005.Training:
You will be training to become a fully qualified mechanic/technician. In the workplace you will be trained in various fields:
Mechanic Electric Hydraulics Mower operationsYou will receive Safety training:
Spraying certs Grinding and abrasive wheels trainingYou will also be completing the Level 3 Motor Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician - Light Vehicle apprenticeship standard alongside your role and will be required to attend Newbury College, West Berkshire, one day a week during Term Time. If required, you will also complete Functional Skills in English and maths.
Training Outcome:
Full time employment in a growing company available on successful completion of the Level 3 Motor Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician apprenticeship.

Working Hours :
6.30am to 3pm Monday to Friday. Employees have an unpaid lunch break and 15 minute paid break a day.
