Outdoor Instructor Apprentice

Water Park Adventure Centre on Coniston Water has an exciting opportunity for a 12-month apprenticeship. You will work alongside experienced Tutors delivering outdoor education to a range of clients from our 37-bed residential centre in the beautiful Lake District National Park. In addition to working with the clients, there will be regular skill acquisition days for you to progress personally at the activities. Apprentices form an important part of the staff team here and operate under similar conditions to the full-time team. During your time with us there will be opportunities to gain relevant NGB awards which will be paid for by Water Park.  

Assist in the planning and delivery of a range of outdoor activities under supervision, ensuring safety and engagement for participants. Support the maintenance and preparation of equipment and activity areas to meet operational standards. Contribute to team briefings, participant support, and general site duties as part of daily operations.

 

Training:

Training will take place at Knedal College, details TBC. 

Training Outcome:

Additional qualifications may be attained during your apprenticeship.

Water Park was established in 1998 as a residential outdoor centre with a focus of “enriching lives through adventure”. Our 13 bedroomed historic mansion is set in 88 acres, and boasts 1 mile of shoreline on Coniston Water with spectacular views of the hills.

Working Hours :
Our working pattern is generally 9am-5pm with occasional evening duties extending the day till 9pm. (paid for separately when run solo).
