Bench Joiner Apprentice

As a Bench Joiner Apprentice, your week could include:

Learning how to read and follow technical drawings to prepare and assemble joinery components. Using a variety of hand tools and woodworking machinery under supervision to cut, shape, and finish timber. Assisting in the workshop with the production of bespoke doors, windows, staircases, and furniture. Supporting other joiners with measuring, marking out, and checking the quality of finished products. Maintaining a tidy, safe, and well-organised workspace while following all health and safety guidelines. Gaining experience in problem-solving and teamwork by contributing to real projects from start to finish.

Carpentry and Joinery (Joinery & Site) Level 2 Using timber products to create and install building components. City of Bristol College (Advanced Construction Skills Centre) Day Release

Training Outcome:

Successful completion of the apprenticeship can lead to full-time employment with Kitto Joinery Ltd or other reputable joinery companies.  There will be opportunities to progress to a fully qualified Bench Joiner, gaining increased responsibility on bespoke projects.

Potential to specialise in areas such as furniture making, staircases, or bespoke cabinetry.  Further training and professional development can open pathways to supervisory or management roles within Kitto.

Working Hours :
Monday to Thursday, 8.00am to 4.30pm. Friday, 8.00am to 4.00pm (including 30 min break and 30 min lunch).
