Plumbing Apprentice

Plan plumbing and domestic heating systems to meet customer needs and industry standards. Select and size systems in line with manufacturers’ guidance and regulations. Prepare for installation of plumbing and heating systems. Install systems in accordance with design criteria and recognised procedures. Test and commission installations to ensure safe and effective operation. Handover systems to customers, providing clear instructions and demonstrations. Carry out routine servicing and maintenance. Diagnose and fix faults in plumbing and heating systems. ·  Decommission systems safely and correctly. ·  Follow all health, safety and welfare requirements in the workplace.

Training:

The apprenticeship training is delivered through a combination of workplace learning and regular college attendance. This training will teach you the knowledge, skills and behaviours set out in the Plumbing and Domestic Heating Technician L3 standard. On completion the apprentice will receive Plumbing and Domestic Heating Technician L3 qualification. Functional Skills in Maths and English may also be required depending on current level.    



Training Outcome:

A chance to continue with the business and develop into a fully qualified plumbing engineer.

Working Hours :
Monday - Friday, shifts to be confirmed.
