Apprentice Electrical Design Engineer
This role is ideal for a recent school or college leaver with a passion for engineering and a willingness to learn. As an Apprentice Electrical Design Engineer, you’ll gain hands-on experience and receive full support as you develop your skills in electrical design. We’re looking for someone enthusiastic, with an interest in electrical systems and control panel design. You should be comfortable using computers and open to learning industry-standard software such as EPLAN P8.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in designing electrical, electronic, and pneumatic systems for standard and custom equipment Ensure designs comply with the Machinery Directive Support development of electrical software and hardware Provide technical assistance to Sales, Service, Production, and Spares teams Liaise with suppliers on technical matters Maintain and update electrical documentation Occasionally travel to our headquarters in Stuttgart for training and product briefingsTraining:
The learner will be studying the Engineering Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard qualification Day release to West Suffolk College
Training Outcome:
Successful Completion of the Engineering Apprentice scheme within HERMA UK Ltd can result in a permanent position within the manufacturing facility. Working Hours :
Monday - Friday (8:30 to 16:30), with a half hour lunch break.
