Apprentice Fire and Security Engineer
The apprentice role will involve the installation and repairs along with the maintenance of both fire and security systems to include: intruder alarms, fire alarms, CCTV and access control systems.
Duties will include:
Attending site visits with an Engineer Carrying out 1st fix and 2nd fix for the installation of fire alarm systems, intruder alarms, CCTV, access control systems etc. (pulling cables through and affixing equipment to walls) Use of hand tools, cordless drill and testing equipment on site Fault finding and repair of systems Liaising with customers on site visits and completion of site paperwork Working to company procedures and following all health & safety guidelinesApplicants should be willing to attend day release at Access Training based on Team Valley, Gateshead (one day per week/fortnight).
The successful applicant must be able to travel to the Middlesbrough based office each morning for a 9.00am start.
Probationary period applies.
Training:
The successful applicant will work towards the Fire, Emergency & Security Systems Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard Will be required to attend day release at Access Training on Team Valley, Gateshead (this may be 1 day per week or 1 day per fortnight dependent upon the phase of the course you are in) Please note the day of delivery may change dependent upon the phase you are in (there are now 5 phases)
Training Outcome:
The role will develop over time, in terms of the variety of duties

Safeguarding the Northeast of England for 40 years based in Middlesbrough, we design, install and maintain security, fire and CCTV systems to NSI gold standards. We provide services for commercial, industrial, public sector and residential customers.
Working Hours :
Monday - Friday, 9.00am - 5.00pm. 30 mins lunch break.
