Engineering Apprentice
As an Engineering Apprentice at Metool Ltd, you will work within the production team and be trained in a variety of fabrication and machining techniques. Your main responsibilities will include:
Learning how to set up and operate tube-bending machinery Supporting drilling and tapping operations on components Operating a press brake for sheet metal forming Following technical drawings and instructions to produce high-quality work Using measuring equipment to check the accuracy and quality of work Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment Assisting experienced engineers with day-to-day production tasks Following all health and safety requirements at all times Recording tasks and progress in line with apprenticeship requirementsThis role will give you excellent exposure to practical engineering skills within a supportive and professional workshop environment.
Training:
Engineering Operative Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard Training delivered by Rochdale Training through workplace visits and off-the-job learning at Rochdale Training’s premesis. Regular mentoring and support from experienced engineers at Metool Ltd
Training Outcome:
Potential to progress onto a Level 3 Engineering Technician Apprenticeship Opportunity for permanent employment upon completion Development into skilled roles such as CNC operator, fabricator, or machinist

Working Hours :
Mon to Thurs – 7.30 am to 4.30 pm Friday – 7.30 am to 12.30 pm.
