Pre- registration Pharmacy Technician Apprentice
To dispense prescriptions in accordance with professional and ethical standards laid down by the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
To assist in stock management, including date checking, recalls and alerts.
To serve customers according to their requirements and in line with pharmacy policies in order to deliver high quality, exemplary customer service.
To issue medication to patients and counsel them on the correct and safe usage of their medication so that patients feel well-informed and able to comply with their medication regimen by the end of the training period.
To determine and compile ward stock lists in conjunction with ward sisters and pharmacists, in order to carry out a “topping up” service to a number of wards, thus ensuring adequate stock holdings in ward areas.
Check ward stocks on designated wards on a regular basis and to monitor and update the stock lists. Generate stock orders under the “topping-up” service for clinical areas.
Training:
Training will take place at the workplace – no need to travel to a college.
Training Outcome:
Qualified Pharmacy Technicians could work in community, hospital, GP surgery.

Working Hours :
Monday to Friday, 10am-5pm (6hrs per day).
