Sales Trainer

The Role:

Sales Trainer role working with an established field sales/internal team.
Accelerating market share growth by increasing the effectiveness and competitiveness of the sales team is the challenge that awaits you here.
That will involve developing a strategic learning and development plan for the team.
It will also involve determining training requirements by studying sales and marketing strategic plans and current sales results and evaluating training effectiveness.
Carrying out training for all new hires and ongoing training for the whole sales team will be part of your remit too, as will engaging in 1-2-1 reviews to maximise performance.
Attending field visits with sales team members, developing new training methods, writing and publishing training materials and managing other training suppliers.



The Ideal Person:

Mechanical Engineering qualification.
To succeed, you’ll need to be a positive and empowering role model and leader with proven experience of training and helping to increase the performance of an external sales team, including areas like presenting, improving communication and coaching.
You’ll also need to be flexible enough to work with the established terminology and processes that they use to help develop sales skills.
Someone who’s comfortable owning, and contributing to, a company plan and training strategy, you’re forward looking too, having the vision it takes to consider the next five years implementation.
The ideal candidate will hold a Learning and Development qualification, but this is not a prerequisite.
What’s more, you enjoy working closely with marketing and sales colleagues on projects such as the production of internal training podcasts and are used to liaising with technical trainers to integrate technical and commercial training.
