Estimator

An established structural steel company in North Yorkshire is currently seeking an Estimator to join their team.

Important Details:
Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per year (dependent on experience)
Reporting to: Contracts Director

Duties:

Prepare accurate estimates for structural steelwork and sub-contract works. Assess material, labour, and equipment requirements. Analyse quotes from sub-contractors and suppliers to ensure profitability. Input data into Estimating Software with precision. Coordinate with technical services and other departments. Communicate effectively with clients, consultants, and quantity surveyors. Organise and administrate tender enquiries and documentation. Collect and distribute project feedback for continuous improvement.

Qualifications Required:

Proven experience in a similar role within the Construction Industry. Strong maths and IT skills, including problem-solving and attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Highly organised with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.

Additional Information:

The role may require occasional travel to meet potential clients within the UK.
