Band 4 Nursing Associate - Older Adult Inpatient

Applications are invited from Band 4 Nursing Associates with a genuine committment to working with older people to join the comprehensive Older Adult service on the beautiful Island of Guernsey, in the Channel Islands.
The Unit is a A 20-bedded unit specifically for people living with Dementia, who are deemed to have behaviours that are challenging and who cannot be supported in their own homes or in local residential/nursing home.
Please note; Guernsey has adopted the AfC banding system, but have applied their own salary scale.
The Guernsey Band 4 salary range from 1st Jan is £31,966 to £37,967 plus an annual bonus of £1,605 and higher unsocial hours enhancements; 40% evening/Saturday and 80% Sunday/BH.
Annual leave starts at 36 days up to 42 days with full credit for NHS service for annual leave and sick leave.

The Older Adult Mental Health Service has a four in-patient centres; including an assessment ward through to the later stages of an individual’s experience of dementia, as well as Community Day Services.
They have recently launched their Island-wide Dementia Framework; striving to make the island Dementia Friendly so that their older population feel valued and are treated with the dignity and respect that they so rightly deserve.
All of this is reliant on the excellent calibre of Nursing staff recruited to a very high standard.
Person requirements:
Qualified Nursing Associate with valid NMC Registration.
Passionate about working with older people with complex medical, physical and mental health needs.
The desire to work in a team and organisation committed to person-centred care and giving you time to care.
This post is also open to enthusiastic graduate Nurse Associates who are able to demonstrate specific interest in Older Adult services and a genuine interest in developing into this sector further.
