Apprentice Production & Purchasing Administrator

You will receive training and guidance to assist with the following tasks:

Data Entry: Accurately input client purchase orders into the company ERP system and check price lists to ensure costs are correct Production Support: Create production route cards, add cutting lists, and ensure all necessary job information, such as drawings, is available on the ERP system Customer Communication: Handle inbound calls professionally, transferring them to relevant team members and responding to client queries Material Purchasing: Help raise purchase orders for materials, liaising with the wider team on material requirements, stock checks, and sourcing the best prices Logistics Coordination: Work with the Warehouse Team Leader to prepare delivery notes for dispatched products and notify clients accordingly Production Reporting: Assist the Operations Manager in creating reports to review production key performance indicators (KPIs).

Eagerness to Learn: A willingness to develop new skills and grow within the company Attention to Detail: A strong focus on accuracy when inputting data and performing tasks Communication Skills: The ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, and suppliers Time Management: Ability to stay organiesd and manage your time efficiently Basic IT Skills: Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.). Previous experience with any software systems is a bonus but not required

Training:

Customer Service Level 2 Practitioner Apprenticeship Standard:

You will cover the necessary Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours, gather evidence and attend workshop / taught classes throughout the duration then complete an End Point Assessment.

The End Point Assessment involves:

Portfolio Development Professional Observation Professional Discussion and Interview

You will be given paid time off to study to achieve your apprenticeship. You will attend Kirklees College in Huddersfield on a Wednesday for your studies.

The apprenticeship programme to be undertaken will be dependent upon the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience. You may be offered the Level 3 in Business Administration Apprenticeship programme if you have required prior experience, Maths and English at Grade 4/C or above. Each course will cover a range of Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours as outlined by the apprenticeship standard, these will be transferable and suitable to an administration role in any sector. Completion of this apprenticeship will lead to eligibility to join the Institute of Customer Service as an Individual member at the Professional level.

Monday - Thursday: 8am - 5pm (with 30mins lunch and 2x 15mins break) Friday: 8am - 4pm (with 30mins Lunch and 1x 15min break)
