Civil Engineering Technician Apprenticeship
Carrying out ACSW Field testing and other Field Testing.
Prepare and review ACSW reports for review by the management.
Review 3rd Party Ground Investigation and Remediation Strategy reports.
Undertake the production of Materials Management Plans for movement of sitematerials.
Manage and Supervise Materials Management Plans during earthworks.
Track the movement of materials using GNSS GPS equipment.
Carry out basic settlement analyses using proprietary software.
Carry out basic cut and fill analyses using proprietary software.
Fieldwork including Soil logging, sampling and environmental monitoring (air, water).
Directing subcontractors including plant, machinery and organising transport for movement of soils.
Writing technical reports.
Maintaining and servicing specialist testing apparatus.
Build and maintain effective working relationships with clients, partners, suppliers and staff.
Training:
This course is delivered by our in-house BTEC delivery team and is run on a day release programme, one day per week during the academic year.Learners can attend face to face at our site in Barnsley, or attend via our Virtual Learning Environment remotely from any part of the Country.
