Pre-School Apprentice
As an apprentice, you will work as part of a team to help our young children learn and develop. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience and will be trained to undertake the same duties as our preschool assistants. Duties include:
Planning, setting up and carrying out activities with the children to provide stimulating play experiences Responsibility for the care and education of the children within a key person structure Supporting snack and lunch times Assisting with personal care Building relationships with parents/carers Ensuring the safety of the children and following safeguarding procedures Attending training courses as requiredBecause of the nature of this job, it will be necessary for an enhanced criminal record disclosure to be undertaken.
Training:
The apprenticeship training is delivered through a combination of workplace learning and regular college attendance. This training will teach you the knowledge, skills and behaviours set out in the Early Years Educator standard. On completion, the apprentice will receive a Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification. Functional Skills in Maths and English may also be required, depending on current level.
Training Outcome:
Completion of this apprenticeship would allow progression into a Pre-School Assistant role.

Working Hours :
Monday – Friday 8.30am – 3.45pm with a 5pm finish on a Thursday. Term time only.
