Accounts Assistant Apprentice

The candidate we are looking for should be confident to work and learn within a team of five reporting directly to the Finance Manager.  The role will involve communications on the telephone with suppliers and other external parties as well as in person with colleagues across the business in other depts therefore an attitude to become confident in work related communications is a must.  A positive ‘can do’ attitude is essential as well as an eagerness to learn as there are fantastic opportunities to progress your career with Pass Logistics.

Extracting purchase invoices from email and uploading to system Matching purchase orders to invoices Answering external and internal telephone calls (when confident) Processing purchase orders Supplier statement checking Scanning and uploading delivery notes Matching delivery notes to invoices Supporting sales ledger clerk with ad hoc duties Providing information from system to support credit controller Running reports from Xero

Training:

Training will be at Doncaster College where you will access a wide range of facilities on offer.

Day release.

You will undertake the Assistant Accountant Level 2 standard

You will undertake Functional Skills for English and/or maths if needed. 

You will undertake both on and off-the-job training by a team of industry-qualified professionals to give you the best skills, knowledge and experience that will help you become an account of the future!

Training Outcome:

Progression to a full-time position within the Finance Team.

We are a logistics business offering haulage and warehousing services to B2B customers and specialising in same day delivery of goods. We are a friendly team operating across two offices in central Doncaster and at our warehousing site in Harworth.

Working Hours :
Monday - Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm
