Truly Treats, based in Kingsteignton, is a well-established wholesale bakery renowned for delivering a delicious assortment of cakes, traybakes, and scones to foodservice distributors nationwide. With a commitment to quality, consistency, and outstanding service, they are seeking two Trainee Scone Bakers to join the team.

PLEASE NOTE THE HOURS FOR THIS ROLE ARE: Monday to Friday 4.30pm - 12.30am (37.5 hours per week)

Main Purpose of the Job:

As a Trainee Scone Baker at Truly Treats, your role will involve weighing ingredients, mixing, and baking their award-winning scones. You'll need to work efficiently, following recipes and instructions with precision. A basic understanding of food safety regulations is essential, and you must adhere to all health and safety standards throughout the process.

Duties:

Weighing and measuring ingredientsPreparing doughs, cutting scones, traying upOperating equipment (mixers, cutting machines, ovens)Performing quality control checksBoxing and labelling finished productsEnsuring compliance with health and safety regulations

Skills:

Ability to work in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to follow instructions accuratelyExperience or a keen interest in bakingAbility to lift up to 25kgAttention to detail and a commitment to quality.A hardworking attitude with a keen interest in learning

Starting Wage: £12.01 per hour (tiered pay scale and progression within the company)
