Bakery Assistant Apprentice

During your apprenticeship at Edgie Eats, you’ll gain hands-on experience across all areas of a working bakery. An average day or week could include:

Wholesale Production & Baking: Preparing ingredients, mixing, baking, and finishing products to meet daily orders while learning professional bakery techniques Packing & Labelling Orders: Accurately weighing, packing, and labelling wholesale products, ensuring they are ready for timely delivery Cleaning & Food Hygiene: Maintaining a spotless work area, washing equipment, and following strict food safety and hygiene procedures Paperwork & Compliance: Completing temperature logs, production records, and other required documentation to meet quality standards Recipe Development & Testing: Supporting the team in creating and trialling new products, giving feedback, and helping improve existing recipes

Training:

Production Chef Level 2 Working as part of a team in kitchen environments City of Bristol College Off site in its entirety

Training Outcome:

Full-time employment if the right fit for the team!

Working Hours :
Monday 09:00 - 17:00 Tuesday 09:00 - 17:00 Wednesday 09:00 - 17:00 Thursday 09:00 - 17:00 20-minute paid break every day. Occasional weekend and evening work but at least 2 weeks’ notice will be given.
