Finance Director

A UK wide, therapeutic fostering service are looking for a Finance Director to report into the CEO supporting them with financial, strategic and commercial matters across the group . This is a full-time position. You will be, taking lead supporting the operational teams in the delivery of financial targets.

This role requires strong leadership and analytical skills, coupled with a clear understanding of how to operate a high quality finance function. The Finance Director will work closely with the CEO, senior management and fostering families to drive forward their vision and values, so relationship building will be a crucial skill.

This is a home based role, but you will be required to attend meetings regularly in Stockport, Cheshire and also in Kent.

Your responsibilities:

Oversee the day to day financial operations of the business, supported by the Finance Manager and Senior Finance Assistant Line management of Finance Manager Management and monitoring of cashflows to ensure financial stability Oversee the timely and efficient operation of core finance processes (invoicing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and family payments) Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Requirements of you as the Head of Finance:

Recognised accountancy qualification (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) Proven experience as a Finance Director or similar role, ideally in a PE backed company. Strong knowledge of corporate finance, financial planning, and financial analysis. Financial modelling M&A experience would be beneficial. Excellent leadership and organizational skills. Thorough understanding of IT systems related to finance. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects.
