Your Role:

Initially the role will involve a full review of our business activity to identify our strengths, weakness and opportunities for maximising profit and streamlining performance. Working closely with the senior management team across the Group and taking line management and mentorship responsibility for our existing Bookkeeper, this new opportunity will play a pivotal role in challenging our thinking, driving our financial strategy and ensuring systems are maintained at optimum levels.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct a full review and SWOT analysis providing a profit versus cost breakdown of all financial business activityProvide analysis and management advice regarding efficiency on cost of sales and how to increase margins through analytical decision makingEnsure financial stability through strong cash flow and debt control across the GroupChallenge current working practices, costs, overheads to reduce unnecessary expenditureManage the QuickBooks Accounts for each Group CompanyEnsure all group activity complies with Anti Money Laundering legislationAdhere to company accounting periods, compliance with statutory and financial regulations and Companies House requirementsComplete VAT returns in a timely and accurate mannerLiaise with senior management and the sales team providing advice on profitable areas of the business to focus onProduce quarterly balance sheets for each businessProduce and maintain an asset register and progressive balance sheets for each business

What We're Looking For:

We are seeking a proven all-rounder with a professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, ACA, CIMA) or equivalent experience. You must be collaborative and driven with consistently high standards.

You should have solid experience in financial management and strategic planning.
