Apprentice Curator, Sound

This Apprentice Curator role offers an opportunity to work with one of our Media Heads in learning the working practices of IWM while studying in conjunction with Teesside University on their ProfessionalApprenticeship in Curating part-time Masters degree course. You will specialise in our Sound collection, although there will be many opportunities to work alongside the other media types in our care. You will also be allocated set time during the working week in order to attend classes and undertake study with Teesside, which is undertaken on a part-time modular basis over two years. Upon completion of this apprenticeship, you will be able to work at Assistant Curator level.

Training:
During this apprenticeship, you will be required to attend 3 x 5-day intensive residential sessions which will take place in London or Middlesborough (to be confirmed). On site training in London will take place at Teesside University campus at 'Here East' - Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park E15 As an apprentice, you will spend a minimum of 6 hours training/learning per week as part of your apprenticeship. Training Outcome:

Upon completion of this apprenticeship, you will be able to work at Assistant Curator level.
