Dental Nurse Apprentice
The successful candidates' duties will include but are not limited to:
Decontamination of instruments and infection control before, during and after a dental procedure Helping ensure health and safety in the workplace Setting up the surgery for dental procedures Caring for all patients Assisting the clinician in all chairside procedures by anticipating, passing and receiving instruments and items Processing and mounting radiographs Liaising with dental labs Ensure patient records are stored confidentialityTraining:
The apprentice will be working towards their City and Guild Level 3 Diploma in Dental Nursing Functional Skills in maths and English, if required The apprentice will have a day release on a Wednesday during term time and this will be held at St Helens College Town Centre Campus
Training Outcome:
Opportunity for a full-time position upon completion of the qualification.
Employer Description:
We have been caring for the population of St. Helens for nearly 100 years and some of our youngest patients are fifth generation patients from those first days of the practice on Westfield Street. The practice is owned and run by Chris Williams who also still practices here on a daily basis so he is always available to help with any problems that might occur.
Working Hours :
Monday - Friday, with 1 day in college. Shift times to be confirmed.
