Electromechanical Assembly Apprentice
Main Duties:
To learn how to build and test hydraulic instrumentation and valves To learn and become proficient in the use of the company Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system (Epicor) To understand our ISO9001 quality system and how that impacts on your role at Webtec. To spend time working in other departments to broaden your skills and knowledge of what Webtec does. To learn about Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques. To make sure that any test stand and tooling issues are reported to the relevant Team Supervisor. To be responsible for keeping the areas you are working in and around, clean and tidy. To ensure that all Health and Safety procedures are adhered to and to work in a safe and competent manner.Day to day contact will be largely with the team supervisor and immediate colleagues. This role supports the daily production build and also supports colleagues within the team.
Training:
The learner will be studying the Engineering Fitter Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard qualification Day release to West Suffolk College
Training Outcome:
The apprenticeship may lead to permanent employment within the assembly department (this is not guaranteed) e.g. as an electrotechnical assembler. There may also be an opportunity for employment in other areas of the business such as engineering.

Working Hours :
Monday - Thursday between 8:30am and 4:30pm, Friday between 8:30am and 3:30pm
