Teaching Assistant Apprentice
The main duties of the role will be 1:1 support for a student with special educational needs but will also involve the following:
Supporting the class teacher in providing a nurturing learning environment for the children Supporting small group interventions Preparing the classroom and resources ready for lessons Helping children who need extra support to complete tasks Helping teachers to plan learning activities and complete records Supporting teachers in managing class behaviourTraining:
The Teaching assistant apprenticeship will lead to completion of a full level 3 apprenticeship standard.
You will be supported throughout your apprenticeship by a dedicated mentor as well as attending Strode College one day a week.
Functional skills will be supported if required.
Training Outcome:
You will be a fully qualified Teaching Assistant and have the opportunity to further your study or continue as a Teaching Assistant.
