Apprenticeship in Horse Care – Equine Groom Level 2
Duties will include all aspects of horse care, e.g.:
Grooming Mucking out Trimming Plaiting Lunging Health care Travelling Feeding Grooming at competitions/ridingJoining an SCT apprenticeship programme is a serious commitment. To achieve the qualification and be successful in your job, you will need to be hard working, prepared to work outdoors in all weather and often at weekends.

Training:
Equine Groom qualification – Level 2.
Vast majority of the training will take place at the yard. In addition, this will include masterclass sessions, seminars, SCT online learning programme. You will also be visited by a SCT Coach at least once a month.
Apprentices without level 1 English and maths will need to achieve this level and take the test for level 2 English and maths prior to completion of their apprenticeship.
Training Outcome:
Possible progression from Level 2 to Level 3 apprenticeship.

Working Hours :
Days and 30 hours per week to be arranged with the employer.
