Early Years Care Apprentice
- Support colleagues to provide for the welfare, learning and development of the children
- Plan and deliver fun activities
- Contribute to the childrens records through observation
- Take shared responsibility for standards of safety, hygiene, security, cleanliness and tidiness across the childcare centre
- Liase with the parents/carers of the children to conduct handovers and provide feedback
Training:
Apprentices will attend Chamber Training one day per week for knowledge sessions and Functional Skills in English and maths (if required).
Apprentices will be assigned a training advisor who will support them throughout their apprenticeship training with the development of their portfolio and completion of assignments.
Training Outcome:
Potential progression to Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship or full employment may be available.
Employer Description:
The Links Day Care Centre provides quality care and education to children aged 2 to school age, they also provide wraparound and holiday care to the nursery children and children who attend 2 local primary schools. The Links appreciate and celebrate all children in their care, recognising their individuality and strengths and providing them with a safe, happy and stimulating environment, allowing them to grow and develop into confident, independent and capable young people.
Working Hours :
The childcare facility is open Monday to Friday between 7.45am and 6.00pm. Apprentices will be required to work shift patterns across these days, with 1 day allocated for attendance to apprenticeship training classes.
