Bricklaying Apprentice

The role will involve working indoors and out You will be required to carry out duties such as laying bricks, paving stones & blocks correctly, checking alignments throughout each stage You will be shown how to prepare and spread mortar, using the correct ratio mixes

Training:
Level 2 Bricklayer Apprenticeship Standard Construction Skills Health, Safety and Environment test – CSCS Test As an additional qualification you will also achieve your Emergency First Aid and Health and Safety Certificate, along with Internet Safety and Safeguarding You will complete training both on the job on site and off the job at the skills group training centre in Plympton, this is 4 days working on site and 1 day college attendance

Training Outcome:
After having completed your apprenticeship programme, you will have the opportunity to progress onto a higher level apprenticeship

Employer Description:
Tom Pudner has been working within the bricklaying industry for a number of years now. He works in the Saltash and the surrounding areas, including Plymouth and Cornwall, working on new build sites and domestic property. Tom has had a number of apprentices in the past and currently has apprentices on his team.

Working Hours :
Monday to Friday, times will vary depending on the site location.
