Laboratory Technician Apprentice

Prepare practical resources for science lessons Tidy equipment from labs at the end of each lesson Prepare risk assessments as suggested by CLEAPSS or science staff Set up practical demonstrations as required, including data logging experiment Clean and maintain equipment Maintain an inventory of equipment for each lab Order equipment and keep records of orders Maintain stocks of stationery and order when appropriate Ensure the chemical store is maintained and chemicals stored safely Ensure the use of radioactive resources are logged in line with Health and Safety policy Comply with Health and Safety policies and organisations Be aware of Academy policies and procedures Be aware of and comply with policy and procedure relating to child protection, health, safety and security, confidentiality and data protection Contribute to the ethos of the Academy Attend meetings and complete training Support Safeguarding

Training:
Level 3 Laboratory Technician Location - South Church Road, Bishop Auckland, DL14 7JZ Working 5 days per week inclusive of 1 day release for study at Darlington College

Training Outcome:

There may be an opportunity to secure a long-term position after successful completion of the apprenticeship.
