Apprentice Warehouse Operative
A fantastic and rare opportunity to join a dynamic, progressive, and professional logistics department at a world-renowned mass participation sports events company. London Marathon Events Ltd are looking to recruit the right candidate to embark on an apprenticeship that blends both on the job working across the company's portfolio of events with academic studies over the course of an initial two-year fixed term contract. The candidate will gain extensive experience of all logistical aspects of the overall operations of the business along with the attainment of an industry recognised qualification.
Receipt of goods and vehicle marshalling Loading and unloading regular deliveries and event vehicles Reconciliation and put away of received goods Processing of goods and their transfer to an appropriate warehouse location Perform a variety of picking and packing procedures Preparation of goods for dispatch Waste management, recycling and housekeeping Undertake scheduled and unscheduled stock taking activities Complete and maintain electronic inventories Ad-hoc driving of light goods vehicles to complete deliveries of event equipment Adherence to health & safety legislation Identify and escalate problems beyond own responsibilityTo become an apprentice, you must:

Have regular one to one sessions with a dedicated trainer either remotely or through visits to your workplace. Learn and train for a specific job. Get paid and receive holiday leave. Get hands-on experience in a real job. Study for at least 20% of your working hours. Complete assessments during and at the end of your apprenticeshipWhat is an apprenticeship?

Training Outcome:
Towards the end of the apprenticeship, a comprehensive mutual review of the period will be completed. This will include discussing internal progression opportunities at London Marathon Events as well as providing interview skills training, CV writing support and further education options.
