Apprentice Dental Nurse

Dental Nurse role consists of:

Assisting dentists Decontaminating instruments Updating patient records as instructed by the dentist Supporting the wider team Have the ability to use your own initiative Set up and prepare the surgery High standards of cleanliness and infection control Keeping patient information confidential Reassuring patients Confidentiality Reception duties Stock control Follow all workplace policies and procedures Safeguarding Assist with X-rays COVID-19 precaution(s)

Training:

Dental nurse (integrated) Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard:

Training will take place in our academy in either Blackburn or Preston (depending on which is more convienent)  Training will be once a week, with the other 4 days working in the dental practice

Training Outcome:
Once completed, you will be a fully qualified dental nurse There a post-qualifications you can undertake such a Impressions courses, Application of Fluoride Varnish etc

4 days a week in a dental practice, with 1 day spent in the academy. Shifts to be confirmed.
