Apprentice Roofer - Slater & Tiler Level 2 - The Roofers
As an apprentice at The Roofers, you will work closely with senior members of the team to learn the traditional and modern methods of pitched roofing installations. Some things you will learn and become competent in are:
Installing various roof membranes and ventilation products Measure and set out a roof ready to install battens to suit various types of roof coverings, such as natural slates, clay tiles, concrete tiles Install various roof coverings such as natural slates, clay tiles, concrete tiles, using different methods of fixing dependant on; materials to be used, site specifications etc. Fabricate and install common lead components found on a roof, such as flashings, valleys chimney weathering's etc. Install dry fix components such as dry verge and dry ridge Install wet verges and ridges Install roof windows and accompanying flashingsAs well as much more as you gain more knowledge and experience.
Training:
Roofer Level 2.
Training Outcome:
After course completion you will be a qualified Roofer, slater/tiler and fit in with the team while you continue to learn and develop. There will be opportunity to further your skills with more advanced level qualifications and skills.

Working Hours :
Monday to Friday - 07:30 - 16:00 Early starts for travelling when working further away - Paid for travel time.
