Apprentice Early Years Practitioner (Level 2 Apprenticeship)

Horspath Pre-School Nursery is nestled in the grounds of Horspath Primary School and had their own separate well-equipped outside play area and nature reserve, offering children between the ages of 2 and 5 years and enjoyable and well-rounded environment for play and learning. At Horspath Nursery they feel that Children's early years are the most important of their lives and they strive to provide a high-quality childcare and education for all children's individual needs.  

As part of the team, you will be supporting the children's learning and development through play and activities. This is a great role with lots of opportunities for development.

Day to day tasks can include: 

Assisting team members to provide top-notch care and education for children Building authentic and meaningful relationships with children and their parents/carers Working with nursery staff to ensure children’s needs and requirements are met Supporting inclusive practices, and helping plan and assess activities that cater to the unique development needs of each child Helping to prepare and feed children simple meals and drinks Teaching general life skills, such as basic hygiene and manners Closely supervising children during activities and ensuring the environment is safe

Training:

You will be supported by an assessor throughout your apprenticeship. As you progress through your apprenticeship your duties and responsibilities will alter as you develop the skills for a successful career in childcare.

Training will be a mix of face to face and online learning.

You will gain an Early Years Practitioner Level 2 qualification with a view to continuing onto further levels of apprenticeships and training.

Functional Skills in maths and English if required.

Training Outcome:

By the end of your apprenticeship there may be the opportunity to continue on to Level 3.

Working Hours :
Monday - Friday, 7.30am - 5.30pm
