Civil Engineering Technician Apprentice

Working in one of our busy delivery teams, this role will touch on all aspects of service delivery, helping us to deliver a positive experience for users of services making sure:

The right services and infrastructure are delivered in the right place at the right time. The roads, pavements and paths are safe and well-managed. Transport choices are provided for all.

We are striving to improve, making the service the best it can be through the way we do things, the people we work with and the resources we employ.

The job will be based at offices and depots across West Sussex including County Hall Chichester, Clapham depot near Worthing and Drayton depot near Tangmere. Regular attendance to these locations as well as project sites across the County will be required.



Training:

An apprenticeship is a flexible role where you will work alongside colleagues to provide a customer focused service to others. During your training and work experience, you will learn to complete a range of tasks within timescales to a competent standard.


You will undertake and complete a Level 3 Civil Engineering Technician Apprenticeship qualification. The apprenticeship will require a commitment to attend college regularly over a 36-month period, working with an assessor to develop a work-based portfolio,
undertaking work-based assessments, completing all assignments and projects relating to the apprenticeship standard, and presenting evidence portfolios for assessment within specified timeframes.



Training Outcome:

Although there are no guarantees, completion of this apprenticeship would place the successful applicant in a strong position in any suitable recruitment that may take place at the end of the programme.
